2. Description of Service

St. John Community Pantry Ministry provides a community-focused service that includes guest registration and check-in, volunteer scheduling, inventory management, donation tracking, and pantry event coordination. The Service is offered free of charge to our community.

3. Eligibility

The Service is available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older, or who have the consent of a parent or guardian. Guests under 18 may receive services through a registered parent or guardian.

4. User Accounts

Access to certain features requires an account. Accounts are created by invitation from ministry administrators. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. SMS Messaging Consent

By providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive SMS text messages from St. John Community Pantry Ministry, including event reminders, volunteer shift alerts, and service notifications.

  • Opt-in: Consent is given when you provide your phone number during guest or volunteer registration.
  • Opt-out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL to any SMS message.
  • Help: Reply HELP or INFO for assistance.
  • Carrier charges: Standard message and data rates may apply. Contact your carrier for details.
  • No spam: We do not send marketing or promotional messages. All SMS communications are transactional and related to pantry services.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Provide false or misleading information during registration
  • Attempt to access data or accounts you are not authorized to access
  • Disrupt, damage, or interfere with the Service or its servers
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications

7. User Content

Information you submit (such as guest details, volunteer availability, and donation records) is your responsibility. You grant us a non-exclusive license to use this information solely for operating and improving our services.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software on this Service are the property of St. John Community Pantry Ministry or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The availability of food, volunteer positions, and other resources is subject to supply and demand.

10. Limitation of Liability

St. John Community Pantry Ministry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any failure to receive SMS notifications.
